Our research shows that by charging for orders under £95.00, our clients are more inclined to order in “bulk” thus eliminating smaller one item orders, reducing 2-3% of carbon emissions per delivery.
What we do with the delivery charges
To sustain the carbon offset with our eco ethos, Frog Stat donates £0.50 to forest restoration across Britain on your behalf. Orders over £95.00 are free of charge, however Frog Stat will still donate £0.50 to forest restoration on your behalf thus fulfilling our sustainable procurement commitment.
More about the concept
To achieve a sustainable society, one of the most important issues is to reduce CO2 emissions from logistics. To address this issue, it is essential to reduce costs in parallel with curbing CO2 emissions. To achieve this purpose, opportunities for improvement in the logistic process are identified and logistic costs, and CO2 emissions are visualized simultaneously to encourage improvements. In addition, the effects are leveraged by rapidly spreading the improvements horizontally within Frog Stat. Environmental impact will be further reduced through efforts for optimizing the SCM (Supply Chain Management) giving priority to such efforts as improvement of cargo carrying efficiency, model shifts, and direct delivery to customers.
Concerns about global warming and finite fuel sources have many consumers and business owners concerned about the impact of the products and services they consume. For online retail merchants, the bottom line and the environmental impact are intertwined and directly correlate to product shipping costs. Absent manufacture, a retail organizations’ major environmental impact is the carbon footprint of their storage (warehouse) and shipping (order fulfilment and delivery). Frog Stat seeks to call out a few relatively simple changes that will be better for the environment, customer relations and businesses’ bottom line.
When it comes to the delivery of merchandise, the total carbon footprint is roughly equivalent to how much fuel it takes to get your products where they need to be. Luckily parcel shipping costs are intimately tied to the total fuel cost. The more efficient the shipping is, the smaller the footprint, and the cheaper the shipping cost. Ground and sea cargo are cheaper than air; bulk or freight shipping is cheaper than individual parcel delivery.
Frog Stat tries to highlight how your businesses bottom line is intimately tied to the environmental impact of your product’s fulfilment. As shipping costs rise in line fuel prices, it becomes even more important to look simultaneously at minimizing shipping expenses while cutting the carbon footprint.
